Frequently Asked Questions

50/50 Shortfills are nicotine-free 50/50 (50% Vegetable Glycerin / 50% Propylene Glycol) e-liquids in larger bottles which have extra capacity allowing you to add nicotine shots to them.

For example a 100ml shortfill will contain 100ml of nicotine-free e-liquid in a 120ml sized bottle allowing 2 x 10ml nicotine shots to be added in for a custom nicotine strength.

50/50 Shortfills are best matched with pod vape kits using pod/coil resistances ranging from 0.6ohms to 1.8ohms. You can also use 50/50 Shortfills in pen style kits and lower powered box style kits, providing that they meet the coil resistance range stated previously.

The key advantages would be as follows:

  • They are more cost-effective for pod vape kit users
  • Longer lasting due to larger quantity
  • Better nicotine strength customisation
  • More flavour options - some may be exclusive to shortfills
  • Less plastic wastage
  • Some 50/50 shortfills are double concentrated to provide stronger flavour.

It is recommended that you use the same VG/PG blend nic shots as the shortfill that you are purchasing. In this case, you would be purchasing 50/50 Shortfills, so you should use 50/50 (Low VG) Nic Shots.

The most common opted strength is 3mg, which is achieved by adding 1 x 18mg Nicotine Shot per 50ml of E-Liquid. However, If you don’t mind mixing into a larger empty bottle, higher nicotine strengths can be achieved, especially when using double concentrate 50/50 shortfills as the flavour will not be diluted.
