To get the most out of your vape device and to make sure you always enjoy the best possible flavour and vapour production from your vape, it’s essential that you keep your vape tank in tip-top condition.
We recommend that you clean your vape tank regularly to prolong its life and get the best possible flavour from your vape. So, read on to find out how to clean a vape tank.
Why you should clean a vape tank
Part of the joy of vaping is all the different e-liquid flavours you can choose from to vape, the hit of strong flavour on your throat as you take a hit from your vape. But, when you don’t take the time to properly clean your vape tank, your flavour experience can be less enjoyable.
While e-liquids shouldn’t stain your vape tank, they can leave behind a sticky residue or gunk when your tank isn’t regularly cleaned. This build-up of residue will eventually start to reduce the performance of your vape mod and affect your flavour and enjoyment.
Vapers who vape multiple flavours of e-liquid can also sometimes experience flavour contamination with their e-cigarette if they don’t regularly clean their vape tanks. This is because small drops of one flavour will remain in the tank and will mix with the new e-liquid flavour to create a muddled flavour.
Regularly cleaning your vape tank can also help you to prolong the life of your coil, especially if you vape vegetable glycerin (VG) e-liquids. Vegetable glycerin e-liquids can be particularly bad for gunking up coils due to the thicker consistency of these types of e-liquids.
If your coil gets too gunky then it can lead to a lower vapour and flavour production when you vape.
Regularly cleaning your vape tank and coil will help to ensure you always get the best vape experience every time you take a hit.
How often should you clean a vape tank?
So, you know why you should be cleaning your vape tank. But, before we explain how to clean a vape tank, you need to know how often to clean a vape tank.
As we’ve already said, if you’re the type of vaper that switches your flavours up quite regularly, you’re going to need to clean your tank out thoroughly to avoid flavour mixing.
At the very least, you want to be rinsing out your vape tank before refilling with your new flavour of e-liquid to avoid any flavour contamination.
However, at Vape Town, we also recommend that you thoroughly clean a vape tank every couple of weeks or every ten e-liquid refills.
And, whenever you feel like your vape isn’t producing the same level of vapour or you aren’t getting the same flavour experience that you’re used to, then it’s worth giving your vape tank a clean to see if that can help improve your vape experience.
