Aspire Tanks FAQs

Can I use an Aspire tank with any mod?

Vape tanks and mods are increasingly compatible no matter the brand, as long as they have the same connection. Most tanks and mods feature a 510 connection, making them compatible with each other.

Also, check that your tank's wattage matches your mod's wattage; otherwise, your vape’s battery life might be negatively affected.

What’s the difference between Aspire sub-ohm tanks and regular tanks?

Sub-ohm tanks such as the Aspire Athos 2ml and the Aspire Cleito 120 Pro Tank employ a coil with a resistance below 1 ohm, whereas regular vape tanks such as the Aspire Nautilus 3 use a coil with a resistance greater than 1 ohm. Other tanks, such as the Aspire Nautilus 2S, offer two coils, allowing for both styles of vaping.

The main difference between the two is that sub-ohm tanks enable direct-to-lung vaping and produce much more vapour than classic vaping. Regular vaping is more suited to mouth-to-lung vaping, similar to smoking cigarettes.

How often should I clean my Aspire tank?

At VapeTown, we recommend thoroughly cleaning your Aspire vape tank every 2 weeks or every 10 refills. If you’re planning on trying a new flavour, you should clean your tank before refilling to avoid flavour contamination.

How do I clean my Aspire tank?

To clean Aspire vape tanks, we recommend dismantling the tank and using warm water to clean the individual parts. When you’re happy that the parts are clean, dry them with a paper towel and leave them out to dry for an hour or two. Once the parts are completely dry, you can reassemble the vape using a new coil and fill it with e-liquid. To avoid a burnt taste after filling your vape tank, let the e-liquid absorb into the wick for 10-20 minutes before using.

Which e-liquids are suitable for Aspire tanks?

Not every tank can use every type of e-liquid. If your Aspire tank supports mouth-to-lung vaping, such as the Aspire K3, you should use thinner e-liquids (50 VG / 50 PG).

For sub-ohm Aspire tanks, thicker e-liquids are better, such as 70 VG / 30 PG ratio e-liquids.

In most cases, any coil that runs over 20w should use thicker e-liquids.

If these terms don’t make too much sense, why don’t you check out our vaping glossary for vaping-related definitions?

Is my Aspire tank genuine?

On the box of every genuine Aspire product, there’s a holographic sticker with a “Scratch and Check” section. Use a coin to scratch that section and reveal the authenticity code. You can then verify the product’s authenticity on Aspire’s website.
